Small Kitchen Design Ideas

Small Kitchen, Big Opportunity

Kitchens, like houses, come in all shapes, styles and sizes. This is the number one reason a custom-made kitchen is much more likely to suit your needs than a modular kitchen. Imperial Kitchens specialises in small kitchen design. We pride ourselves on the design ideas that can be incorporated into challenging spaces, particularly when the size of the space isn’t generous and the shape is irregular.

You may be tempted to consider a modular kitchen if the space you have available for your kitchen is limited. Unfortunately, what may seem an excellent idea at the time could turn to disaster, costing you money and leaving you with a design that doesn’t resemble your original dream kitchen.

An Investment Or a Waste of Money

A new kitchen is a significant investment. It’s extremely important that it adds value to your home. Equally important is that your new kitchen functions the way you need it to. A custom-made kitchen will deliver on both counts. Chances are you won’t save much by buying a modular kitchen, particularly after considering the potential downsides associated with modular kitchens such as inflexible design, inferior quality or limited range. Custom-made is the only way to go if you see your new kitchen as an investment in your enjoyment and the value of your home.

    Small Space – So What?

Our customers are always telling us, “My new kitchen feels so much bigger than it did before”. They are always surprised with how big their kitchen appears after incorporating some clever ideas from Imperial Kitchens.

Our kitchen designers are expert tradesmen, not salesmen. They know all the tricks to extract every last centimetre from your kitchen, regardless of size. There’s so many space-saving products and accessories available these days. You’ll probably never know about these products unless you choose a custom-made, small kitchen design from Imperial Kitchens.

    Space Saving Ideas

Visit our modern kitchen showroom to sample what’s available. There are corner sinks and pull-out wire-ware that convert wasted corners into usable space. Your pantry could include slide-out wire-ware enabling easy access to everything inside. No longer will you have items in the back of your kitchen cupboards that are way past their “use by” dates!

Pot storage can be handled with specially designed deep pot drawers. Clever accessories are now available to transform cutlery and utensil storage. The nooks and crannies of any kitchen must be exploited in order to maximise function. A custom-made kitchen will do this very effectively.

Many new homes are being built on smaller blocks, with the average size of these homes also shrinking. We’ve had to become much more creative when designing small kitchens. We’ve embraced the challenge to ensure that a small kitchen doesn’t feel small. Your new kitchen will include a level of practicality that will satisfy the everyday and entertainment needs of your family.

Please contact us to discuss your requirement. We’d love to share our small kitchen design ideas with you.
