The range of colour preferences is almost as numerous as the clients we work for. While colours are a matter of personal taste, colour selection remains one of the most critical aspects to be considered when designing your new kitchen.
Timeless Colours or a Step Back in Time?
Anyone old enough to remember the 1970s will recall the “burnt orange” and “lime green” benchtops that were “on-trend” at that time. Solid pink or yellow baths often completed the picture! You hardly need to wonder when a home was built if it still boasts these colours. While some live happily with these reminders of a bygone era, modern kitchen and bathroom designs have tended towards much more sophisticated, understated colour schemes.

Fans of popular lifestyle programs such as The Block will notice that modern designs favour neutral colour schemes in the kitchen with a bold or contrasting splashback and complimentary benchtops.
