Due to inevitable events around the world in 2020, the last few years haven’t gone the way anyone would have expected. Travel has been off the cards for a couple of years, and this has forced many people to reallocate their spending and desires elsewhere. Fortunately, many shifted their focus to where they spend most of their time; their own homes. In the past couple of years, the volume of kitchen renovations and kitchen new builds have increased dramatically, and at Imperial Kitchens, we have had our hands full. We completed over 1000 kitchen designs and installations in 2023.

So, if you want inspiration to renovate your kitchen in 2024, we’ve got you covered. Here are our top 10 favourite kitchen designs from previous years:

While renovations have been trending recently, small kitchen renovations have been a key topic on the rise. Imperial Kitchens designed the Woodhill Project for a new Desire Homes built in 2022 and consisted of a kitchen, butler’s pantry, laundry, bathroom, and ensuite. Despite being considered small, this project utilises space and still manages to contain a freestanding cooker, dishwasher, slide-out rangehood, and plenty of drawers.

9. Gumdale Project

Ten years ago, having green or blue elements in the kitchen was a little frowned upon. Now, green is all the rage and according to the Laminex Colour Trends 2023 event, “Lush” kitchens are going to be incredibly popular next year. This kitchen features two Laminex colours in Possum and Natural Walnut.

The Bellbowrie Project features white and blue 2PAC doors with the Polytec “Hamptons” profile

Monochrome kitchens will never go out of fashion and that’s why we love the Bellbowie Project. The white Hamptons doors paired with modest blue barback panels and black appliances give a classic yet elegant touch to a timeless design.
